BIG BLUE SKIES
WRITTEN BY JEFF R HILTON 2019
CHASING AFTER RAINBOWS
DRIVING THROUGH THE SUN
MILE AFTER LONELY MILE
NO ONE RIDING SHOTGUN
THE SCENERY ROLLING BY
FOOTHILLS TO MOUNTAINS HIGH
EVERYBODY AND EVERYTHING
LEFT BEHIND
HOW COULD ALL THIS BE
ONLY MINE
THE MOUNTAINS PULL ME IN
DRAW ME TO THE PINES
JUST LIKE THEY ALWAYS DO
I CAN HEAR THEIR WHISPERS
SOMEWHERE IN THESE TREES
THERE'S A PLACE FOR YOU
I COULD EASILY FALL
BUT I'M JUST PASSING THROUGH
WEIGHING HEAVY ON MY HEART
ITS BEEN SO LONG
I COULD STOP AND STAY AWHILE
A REMINDER EVERY MILE I GO
FEEL MY AURA CHANGING COLORS
RED TO BLUE TO GREEN
UP ON THAT RIDGE
DOWN IN THAT VALLEY
DOWN AT THE RIVER
INSIDE THOSE TREES
I HEARD THEM WHISPER
SIGH IN THE RAIN
COME BACK REAL SOON
TO THIS PLACE AGAIN
HEAVEN HELP ME REACH FOR
THESE BIG BLUE SKIES
HELP ME REALIZE MY DREAMS
ITS NEVER TOO LATE
ITS NEVER TOO FAR
LITTLE CLOSER
ALWAYS ONE MORE DAY
ONE MORE WEEK
ONE MONTH, A YEAR
ONE BY ONE
THEY DISAPPEAR
BEHIND THE MOON
TURN AROUND NOW
FACE THE DIRECTION
THAT YOU CAME
AND THE TREES WHISPERED
YOU'LL BE BACK AGAIN
REACHING OUT
FOR BIG BLUE SKIES
