DARK WATERS

SETTING SUN SINKING BELOW THE HORIZON
SEALING ANOTHER DAY, MEMORIES IN GOLD
FEATHER PILLOWS NEATH MY HEAD
I COUNT THE STARS INSTEAD
NIGHTHAWK CALLING SWIFT IN HIS FLIGHT
THEN SILENCE RETURNS TO THE NIGHT
FAIRIES LIGHT THE WOODS
AS THE SANDMAN MAKES HIS ROUNDS
SWIRLING DARK WATERS BENEATH THE TREES
PAINTED BY MOONLIGHT AND GENTLE BREEZE
MIDNIGHT CHARGES UP THE WITCHING HOUR
TWILIGHT BURNS THE MIST
FALLING STAR MILKY WAY
GALAXIES BEYOND ALL THIS
IN MY DREAMS
IT'S REAL BUT IT'S NOT REAL
DRIFTING IN AND OUT
UNTIL THE NEW LIGHT OF DAWN FINDS ME
PEEKING THROUGH THE CURTAINS
RUSTLING IN THE BREEZE
DANCING ON THE WALL
AND MY SLEEPY EYES SEE IT ALL
WIDE AWAKE WITH MY EYES CLOSED
THOUGHTS REPLACE THE DREAMS
COMING BACK TO LIFE ONE BREATH AT A TIME
FOOTSTEPS IN THE HALL
A NEW DAY TO CONQUER
ANOTHER CHANCE TO HAVE IT ALL
CRAZY WORLD CRAZY LIFE
ALL YOU CAN DO IS HOPE IT ALL WORKS OUT RIGHT
LIKE THE FOUR WINDS
MERCY AND A LITTLE LUCK
AND I WON'T FEEL LIKE I'M STUCK
NO TWO SUNSETS ARE THE SAME
SOMETIMES A RAINBOW RIGHT AFTER THE RAIN
MOONS MANY FACES HIDING IN THE CLOUDS
NO CONTROL LET IT GO UNTIL IT STOPS
WATCHING CLOUDS GO BY
FORMING SHAPES I RECOGNISE
TUMBLING OVER AND OVER THROUGH THE SKY
ON A WEST WIND BLOWING
