BLOWING IN THE SUN
WRITTEN BY: J.R HILTON

THE SUN IS COMING CLOSER ONCE AGAIN
BRINGING US ANOTHER SUMMER
WILL IT SHINE IN GOLDEN LIGHT
SWEET DAYS THAT NEVER END
UNTIL THE MOON AND THE STARS TAKE THE STAGE
MOON FLOWERS BLOWING SCENTED ON A GENTLE BREEZE
FIRES COME TO LIFE ONE BY ONE
LIGHT THE DARKNESS FROM YOUR HAPPY PLACE
WINTER WAS WAY TOO LONG
NOW THE WAITING'S GONE
FIELDS OF GREEN, BLOOMING MEADOWS
BLOWING IN THE SUN
BRIDGE TO NOWHERE
IN THE MIDDLE OF A SHINING SUMMER
IN GOLDEN LIGHT
THIS COULD TAKE AWHILE
THIS COULD TAKE ALL NIGHT
AS STARS APPEAR ONE BY ONE
UNTIL THE SKIES ARE FULL OF BURNING LIGHT
FARAWAY FROM THE CITY
AND IT LOOKS ALRIGHT
EVERY LITTLE PART OF ME
ENTRENCHED IN SUMMER. SO NATURALLY
HEARTBEAT OF SUMMER THROBBING IN THE SUN
BREATHING IN THE SEASON ALL AT ONCE
TURNING FASTER EVERYDAY
WHEN IT ALL WINDS UP
THERE'S A QUIET SADNESS
HATE WHEN IT'S ALL OVER AND DONE
LIKE LOSING A LOVER, JUST WAITING FOR ANOTHER
IN THE FADING LIGHT
BUT IF YOU COULD SEE THROUGH THIS SMILE
YOU'D SEE THE SADNESS, AND YOU'D KNOW WHY
AT THE END OF EACH GOODBYE
GOODBYE GOLDEN LIGHT
STILL DON'T MAKE IT RIGHT
WHEN THE COLD WINDS OF NOVEMBER COME
NO MORE MOON FLOWERS BLOWING IN THE SUN
NO SUMMER RAIN
A SKY WITHOUT A RAINBOW JUST AIN'T THE SAME
YOU'D THINK I'D HAVE LEARNED BY NOW
BUT THAT KIND OF SOLUTION
DON'T DO NOTHING TO SATISFY
WAITING FOR ALL THESE MONTHS TO GO BY
TO GET TO MOON FLOWERS BLOWING IN THE SUN
I HATE WHEN IT'S DONE
