THE HUSH OF NOVEMBER

THE HUSH OF NOVEMBER

WRITTEN BY J.R HILTON

2O18

THE NIGHT MOVES FREELY
FLOWS PAST THE HUNTERS MOON
ALL THE STARS AGLOW
THE MIST RISING DOWN BELOW
TIME CHIPS AWAY
THE MAGIC OF THE NIGHT
CHASING THE DAWN
TO THE SUNRISES DELIGHT

THE DAYS COMING ON
THE MAGIC TAGS ALONG
PAINTING COLORS IN THE SKY
YOU SEE IT LIKE YOU FEEL IT
DRESS IT UP AND BE IT
NO WAY YOU CAN BEAT IT
LIKE A RHYTHM ON THE DRUMS

YOUR CHOICES ARE CUT AND DRIED
TIME HONORED TRUE AND TRIED
MEADOW AND VALE
LIE IN LAZY SUNSHINE
LEAFLESS TREES
NO LEAVES TO HIDE THEM
THEY LAY BLUSHING DYING
ON THE GROUND

IN THE HUSH OF NOVEMBER
COMING ON
BRANCHES BARE
POINT THE WAY TO THE SUN
BUT ITS ON THE RUN
FINISHED HERE
COLD AND GRAY, ANY DAY NOW
ON THE WAY
ALMOST SOMETHING SAD IN THE AIR

SUNSET BRINGS ANOTHER DAY TO CLOSE
SKIES OF ORANGE AND ROSE
LAUGH AT DUSK
JUST THE TWO OF US FOR TEA
YOU AND ME
THIS SERENITY
THIS CALM BEFORE THE STORMS

HOLD ONTO THESE DAYS THAT YIELD
FROM ACROSS THE FIELD
THE HUNTER'S MOON GLOWS
THE HEARTH ALIGHT
ON A COLD DARK NIGHT
THE HUSH OF NOVEMBERS VOICE
RISING WITH THE WIND
AND I'M SITTING HERE
WITH YOU AGAIN
AND THAT'S OKAY WITH ME
ITS JUST WHAT I NEED

WHEN THE COLD WINDS BLOW SO CHILL
WHEN I'VE HAD MY FILL
CAN'T TAKE ANOTHER DAY
IN THE COLD
ITS ONLY YOU
LIKE A PROMISE OF SPRING
AND I'M JUST HAPPY
I'M HERE WITH YOU
ITS THE HUSH OF NOVEMBER
WE'LL GET THROUGH
PERHAPS TOO SOON
