THOUGHT THAT I'D BE ALRIGHT

TIME RUSHES ON
BEYOND WHAT YOUTH COULD UNDERSTAND
IT NEVER DRAGS, IT NEVER WAITS
IT'S NEVER STILL OR HESITATES
IT WON'T BE ANY DIFFERENT
BUT IT WILL NEVER BE THE SAME
SHIFTING LIKE SAND, CHANGING LIKE SKYLIGHT
THERE'S NO AVOIDING
THE RHYTHM'S OF UNCERTAINTY
THE PULSE OF THE UNIVERSE
FOR EVERYTHING COMES A DAY
MY MEMORIES CHIPPED AND FADED
SLIPPING AWAY AND JADED
LIKE A BURNING SUNSET FADING
INTO THE DARK OF A SUMMER NIGHT
I THOUGHT THAT I'D BE ALRIGHT
I COULD USE A LITTLE SLEEP
SEND ME MOONBEAMS
SEND ME SWEET DREAMS
THROUGH MY OPEN WINDOW
MOON IN THE GARDEN, WAXING FULL
LIKE A SEASONED SENTRY
A KEEPER OF TIME
INSIDE IT'S MYSTIC GLOW
OUTSIDE IT'S CONFINES
NIGHTINGALE, ON THE VALE
CALLING IT A DAY
THE SKY FILLS UP WITH ENDLESS STARS
WHILE SOLAR WINDS AT REST
FRAGILE FLOWERS CLOSE PETALS TIGHT
CHARGE UP FOR THE MORROWS SUN
IMMORTAL IN NATURE, A LEGEND IN IT'S TIME
WISHED THAT I COULD OF SAVED MORE OF MINE
BUT HOW WAS I TO KNOW
NOCTURNAL CREATURES, GREAT AND SMALL
PROWL THE NIGHT
A SCREECH A HOWL
THE FLIGHT OF AN OWL
SHATTERS THE CALM AND FADES AWAY
TIME PASSES WITH UNINTERRUPTED RIGIDITY
RIGHT TO THE STARTING OF ANOTHER DAY
DAWN BREAKS THE SPELL
THE SKY IS GLOWING, ORANGE AND GOLD
COME ON NOW, IT'S TIME TO GO
TIME WAITS FOR NO ONE, THAT INTERRUPTS IT'S FLOW
THOUGHT THAT I'D BE ALRIGHT
NOW I'M NOT SURE
I DON'T REALLY KNOW
