RAGGED CANYONS

DECEMBER 2016
I SEE THE MOON
LOOKING BACK AT ME
BACK-LIGHT FOR A FOREST OF DREAMS
LIGHTS UP A NORTHERN OWL ON THE WING
WOLVES HOWLING ON A HILL
MAKES ME SHIVER
GIVES ME A CHILL
BIG YELLOW MOON
TRACING ACROSS THE SKY
SWIMMING THROUGH THE STARS
LAUGHING AS IT PASSES
ON IT'S FIRST TRY
AND I CAN'T SEEM TO LOOK AWAY
MESMERIZED
DOWN BELOW
AS THE TREES ALL GLOW
UNLOCKING MYSTERIES
SOFTLY AS WE GO
FOLLOWING FOOTSTEPS IN THE SNOW
WHO KNOWS WHAT EACH NIGHT WILL BRING
MAYBE TOMORROW
THE NORTHERN LIGHTS WILL SING
TREASURE AND RICHES
MAY NOT BE WHAT YOU THINK
THEY'RE ALL AROUND YOU
AND DEEP WITHIN
CAN YOU FEEL IT RISE
CATCH A SPARK IN YOUR EYES
RAGGED CANYONS
COVERED IN MIST
AS SEETHING WATERS CHURN
HEADING FOR THE SEA
EAGLES DARE HIGH ABOVE
GIVE ME THE MOUNTAINS
AND I'LL SHOW YOU LOVE
PRISTINE, CRYSTAL CLEAR STREAM
MOVING THROUGH THE TREES
MOSTLY UNSEEN
WATERFALLS, TALKING UP A STORM
LISTEN TO WHAT THEY HAVE TO SAY
HURRY DOWN, THEN MOVE STEADILY ON
LESSONS FROM MOTHER EARTH
FROM CRADLE TO GRAVE
NOTHING EVER STAYS THE SAME
IT JUST GETS BETTER OR WORSE
YOU CAN MAKE IT A BLESSING
OR MAKE IT A CURSE
WHEN LEAVES FALL
ONE BY ONE AND ALL
ALL GONE TO GROUND
THERE'S A HUSH, WITHIN THE WOOD
A SILENT SNOW, FILLING THE VOIDS
NEW DAY
NEW LANDSCAPE TO DREAM AWAY
WHAT OF THIS WORLD IN WHITE
GEESE ON THE WING
HEADED FOR THE LIGHT
STANDING HERE
IN A BLANKET OF SILENCE
BUT I'M STILL IN AWE
WHAT I'VE SEEN AND WHAT I SAW
