LONG LOST FALLEN ANGEL
WRITTEN BY: J.R HILTON
NOVEMBER 2016
STANDING AT THIS CROSSROADS
I DON'T KNOW WHICH WAY TO GO
COULD YOU TELL ME, DO YOU KNOW
I SHOULD BE ALREADY AT THE PLACE I WANT TO GO
I SPENT TOO MUCH TIME CHASING RAINBOWS
SOME THINGS, I THOUGHT THAT MATTERED
WEREN'T REALLY MUCH AT ALL
THEY WERE JUST PASSING LESSONS GIVEN TO US ALL
MAYBE I'M WOUNDED, IN MY SOUL
CAN'T LEAVE HERE AT ALL
LONG LOST FALLEN ANGEL
YOU CAN'T BUY YOUR WAY BACK HOME
YOU'VE GOT TO HOLD ON WHEN HOPE IS ALL YOU'VE GOT
WHERE IS A SPIRIT GUIDE WHEN YOU NEED ONE
I'VE BEEN UP ALL NIGHT
WHERE IS THE KEEPER OF THE LIGHT
DON'T KNOW WHO I'M TALKING TO
UP IN THE SKY STARRY AND BLUE
BUT ALL I WANT IS TO BREAK THROUGH
BEING FREE MEANS ONE THING TO YOU
AND SOMETHING ELSE TO ME
SOMETHING DIFFERENT, THAT I SEE
BUT WHEN IT'S ALL SAID AND DONE
FREEDOMS FLEETING AT THE BEST OF TIMES
AND TIME IS SLIPPING, I'M FALLING BEHIND
BLESSED BE THE ONES THAT FIND
THE PATH TO SALVATION AND PEACE OF MIND
THE WANDERING SAINT'S, BEEN FAR AND WIDE
ON THE PEAKS AND IN THE TIDE
MANY SUNSETS BY RIVERSIDE
NIGHTS ALONE WITH FULL BLOWN MOON
THE RHYTHM OF THE UNIVERSE
BEATING LIKE A DRUM
A FLASH OF LIGHT IN THE SKY
AND THE WANDERING SAINT WAS GONE
RIGHT BEFORE MY EYES
