FRAGILE WORLD
WRITTEN BY: J.R HILTON MAY 2016
IT'S ALWAYS TIME FOR SOMETHING
I NEVER GET TO REST
I'M ALWAYS ON THE GO BUT I DO MY BEST
I FOLLOWED A STAR, IT TOOK ME NORTH
I STOOD IN AWE AS I WATCHED THE AURORA COME FORTH
NO MATTER THE EXPLANATION. IT'S STILL A SIGHT TO BEHOLD
KIND OF STICKS WITH YOU IN THE NEXT MORNING COLD
I STARED INTO THE FIRE FOR HOURS
PONDERING THE PROBLEMS IN THIS WORLD
LEFT ME SHAKEN AND BEWILDERED
HOLDING A BROKEN SWORD
SOMETIMES THE LIVES I'VE LIVED ALL MERGE TOGETHER
IN A STORY THAT NEVER ENDS
I'M STILL GATHERING UP THE CLUES
TO SEE THE MESSAGE IT SENDS
SEE HOW EVERYTHING IS HELD TOGETHER
WITH BITS OF STRING AND GLUE
WISHES AND GOOD INTENTIONS TO
LIFE IS FRAGILE, IT'S A FRAGILE WORLD
RIPPED APART AT THE SEAMS
ALREADY STARTING TO BURN RIGHT THROUGH TO DREAMS
BUT I CAN'T DO A THING ABOUT IT
I'VE GOT TOO MUCH TO DO
ALL OF THESE THINGS THAT I'M GOING THROUGH
WHEN THE REVOLUTION GETS STARTED
THAT'S WHEN YOU CAN CALL ME TO WAR BESIDE YOU
BRING MY THUNDER TO THE MIX
GIVE MY SENSE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS IT'S LONG AWAITED FIX
TURN THIS WHOLE THING BACK AROUND
SETTLE DOWN INTO THE PEACE WE MAKE
THAT WE'LL NEVER GET UNLESS WE TAKE
