FIND MY WAY BACK
WRITTEN BY J.R HILTON 2016
YOU NEED SO MUCH HEART
YOU NEED IT FROM THE START
TO GET PAST THE PAIN AND SORROW LAYING IN YOUR PATH
TO A PLACE WHERE YOU CAN REST EASY
THE SUN RISING IS NEVER LOST TO ME
I SAW THE WIND IN THE CLOUDS
I FELT THE BRACE FROM THE DEEP BLUE SEA
THE SALT ON MY SKIN FOREVER A PART OF ME, THAT I LIKE TO SEE
SUMMER ETCHED UPON MY MIND
WERE WE REALLY WASTING TIME, I DON'T THINK SO
SO MANY THINGS CALLING OUT TO YOU
SO MUCH TEMPTATION, IT'S UNTRUE
BUT LIFE UNLOCKED THE DOOR AND LET US THROUGH
ON ANY GIVEN SUMMER NIGHT SO MANY YEARS AGO
I CAN FEEL THE WARM SUMMER BREEZE WASHING OVER ME
BIG PALE MOON WATCHING OVERHEAD
FELT LIKE I WAS LED SO FARAWAY
AND LEFT MAYBE TO FIND MY WAY BACK
I REMEMBER FEELING SO ALONE
FELT LIKE A HEART FULL OF STONE
I FOUND LOVE SO MANY TIMES
BUT NOT THE KIND THAT LASTS
THE KIND THAT LEADS TO A BROKEN HEART
THAT YOU CAN SEE COMING, FALLING APART
I TRIED THEN IT WAS GONE, AND SO WAS I
STAR FILLED NIGHT
LIKE SO MANY WISHES WAITING TO COME TRUE
SOME NEVER WILL, WERE NEVER MEANT TO BE
GOOD THING BROKEN HEARTS CAN MEND
THAT'S THE WAY IT'S ALWAYS BEEN
