TIME IS ALL I NEED
WRITTEN BY: J.R HILTON MAY 2016
I LEFT THE ROAD YEARS AGO
THINKING I COULD SETTLE DOWN
NEVER STAYED LONG IN ONE PLACE
I LIKED TO MOVE AROUND
THINGS CHANGED AS THINGS DO
SHE SAID GOODBYE, YOU AND I ARE THROUGH
NOW I'M ON THE ROAD, MY OLD HOME AWAY FROM HOME
NOT SURE WHERE I'M HEADED, BUT I'M GOING
CITY LIGHTS IN MY REAR VIEW MIRROR, FADING AWAY
TOMORROWS JUST ANOTHER DAY
HEADING DOWN THE ROAD, THE COUNTRY PASSING BY
THE MOON LIGHTS MY WAY AND FILLS MY EYES
LONELY ROAD, UNDERSOLD, HEART AND SOUL FULL OF GOLD
WAITING TO UNFOLD AND SOMEDAY TRUE LOVE WILL FIND ME
THE MILES PASS ME UNAFFECTED
LOST IN THOUGHT AND UNDIRECTED
NOT SURE WHERE I AM, BUT I DON'T CARE
DON'T HAVE TO BE ANYWHERE, FOR ANYONE, ANYMORE
IT'S JUST A LITTLE HARD TO TAKE
WHAT I THOUGHT THAT WE COULD MAKE
DREAMS AND WISHES SOMETIMES BREAK INTO PIECES
AND CRUMBLE IN THE DUST
SO HERE I GO IF I MUST
I'VE BEEN HERE BEFORE
C'EST LA VIE, WHAT'S ONCE MORE
NEW DAY TOMORROW, ALREADY FEELS GOOD TO START AGAIN
ANY WHICH DIRECTION I CHOOSE
IS THE WAY I'M GOING, NOBODY SHOWING ME WHICH WAY
A LITTLE TIME IS ALL I NEED
LIFE GOES ON BUT NOW I'M GONE
LIFE GOES ON, WAVE YOUR MAGIC WAND
AND GET ON, LIFE GOES ON
