WISHES IN A JAR
SPINNING AROUND THE MOON
MOVING ACROSS THE SKY
MAKES ME HAPPY, I'M NOT SURE WHY
JUST ANOTHER COMFORT IN THE NIGHT
SOMETHING SURE WHEN THING'S AREN'T RIGHT
SOMETHING CHANGES WHEN I LOOK UP AT THE SKY
I FILL WITH AWE, FROM WHAT I SAW
STARS BLINKING ON SATELLITES FLOATING BY
PULLING ON EMOTIONS, MOVING THE TIDE
DAYDREAMS AND MOONBEAMS, FALLING STARS
AND LITTLE NOTES WITH WISHES IN A JAR
WOULD BE NO MORE
NO MOON SHINING ON THE SEA
NO MORE MOONLIT WALKS FOR YOU AND ME
THE WORLDS BURNING FAST YOU CAN'T DENY
WOULD YOU REALLY WANT TO SAY GOODBYE
EARTH LAID TO WASTE BY GREED
FORCES TO GIVE UP, CONCEDE
NOTHING LEFT TO GIVE
THAT YOU'D WANT TO SEE
I'M COMING HOME, WAIT FOR ME
THIS WAS SUCH A BEAUTIFUL PLACE
WHEN WE WERE YOUNG
AND TIME WAS YOUNGER
WE'D LOOK UP AT THE MOON
AND KNOW EVERYTHING WOULD BE ALRIGHT
IT GAVE US COMFORT IN THE NIGHT
HARD TO THINK THAT THIS ALL COULD BE GONE
IN SO MANY WAYS IT'S WRONG
YOU LET-EM ROLL RIGHT THROUGH
WHO'S GONNA SAVE US NOW
