A TIDE TURNING

WILDFLOWERS ALL AROUND ME
MY EYES ON THE SKY
WATCHING CLOUDS OF LACE
CHASE THE SUN RAYS
TOO FAR TO LOOK AHEAD
TIME TO KILL INSTEAD
THAT I SURELY DID
SO MANY EMOTIONS
A TIDE TURNING
CHANGING ME
A CALM SERENITY
A FALSE SECURITY
THE SMILE THAT CAME
SO NATURALLY
TAKEN AWAY SO SUDDENLY
BUT I SEE ANOTHER SIDE
TO ALL THIS
IF ONLY I COULD WISH
IT ALL AWAY
GET A LITTLE CLARITY
YOU SELDOM GET BACK
WHAT YOU LOSE
DON'T ALWAYS GET TO CHOOSE
FEEL THE SUMMER SLIPPING AWAY
GLIMPSES OF A SKY TURNING GRAY
THE LEAVES HEADED FOR THE GROUND
THE HUSH BEGINS TO GROW
THE CROWDS THIN OUT AND GO
SCATTER LIKE THE LEAVES
A TIDE TURNING
CHANGING ME
SEND ME OUT INTO THE WORLD
SEARCHING FOR A DREAM
I'LL RECOGNIZE IT AS MY OWN
ONE I HAVE SEEN
WILDFLOWERS ALL AROUND ME
NOW SO FAR BACK IN TIME
A GHOST FROM THE PAST
DESTINED TO LAST
WOUND UP TO CAST
RIGHT THROUGH A TIDE TURNING
THE LAST OF THE SUN GOING DOWN
LIKE AN EMBER BURNING
SEE IT GLOW
BEFORE IT SINKS TOO LOW
