INTO WINTERS NIGHT
WRITTEN BY JEFF R HILTON 2019
THE SUN RAYS FELL UPON THE TREES
CLOAKED IN GOLD AND RED
SUMMERS LAST DANCE WITH THE FALL
JUST A COURTESY, NOTHING MORE
THAT WAS ALL
DEEPER BLUE THE SKIES TURN GRAY
SUMMERS FADED KISS TURNS AWAY
FLOCKS OF GEESE
ALIGHT FROM THE RIVER
CHASING THE SUN
AND EVERYTHING IS SILENT AGAIN
DARKER DAYS CHASE THE LIGHT
BUT ITS FADING
INTO WINTERS NIGHT
A PAPER MOON AND SILVER STARS
HOW NEAR HOW FAR
THE MILES IN BETWEEN
FROM WHERE YOU ARE
TO WAKE AGAIN TO A SWEET SUN
TIME HOLDS FAST
THE WINTERS WHITE AND COLD
AGAINST THE FLAMES BURNING
BRIGHTLY IN THE NIGHT
A FEATHER SKY
HOW MANY DREAMS AWAY
HOW LONG UNTIL THE RAIN
THE SWEET FLOWERS WAKE AGAIN
SPREAD THEIR PETALS
TOWARDS THE SUNNY SKIES
BREATHE IN THE BURNING SUN
IN THIS LAND OF ICE AND SNOW
THIS FROZEN WORLD
CAUGHT UP IN SLEEPY DREAMS
JUST UNTIL THE BLUEBIRD SINGS
HIS SWEET MELODY
IN THE SOFT SUMMER LIGHT
UP IN THE SKY
COLD DARK AND GRAY
TIME SLIPS AWAY
INTO WINTERS NIGHT
Beautiful word images to complement an equally beautiful photo, Jeff.
