JULY MORNING
WRITTEN BY JEFF R HILTON
2019
WOKE UP TO THE SUN
A JULY MORNING
SHINES LIKE A JEWEL
THE SKY IS FALLING
INTO MISTY GOLDEN LIGHT
SWEETNESS AS FAR AS I CAN SEE
MAGIC WHAT ELSE COULD THIS BE
AND OUT THERE
ON THE OCEAN STILL
NO WAVES TO SEE BETWEEN
NOT A CLOUD IN THE SKY
TO BE SEEN
ALL THAT'S REMAINING IS
TO LIFT MYSELF
ABOVE THIS LONELINESS
THIS PIECE OF MY HEART THAT'S GONE
A DAY LIKE THIS
DOESN'T QUITE HOLD UP
WITHOUT YOU
NOW ITS TIME TO DECIDE
WHAT I'M GONNA DO
SOME LOFTY LONELY PLACE
TO LOOK DOWN ON THE WORLD
TREAT MY FACE TO THE SUN
NO HURRY, NO NEED TO RUN
I CAN'T HELP IT
I THINK ABOUT YOU
WONDER WHAT YOU'RE DOING
THE WORLD PASSES BY BELOW
I SIT HERE AND WATCH THE SHOW
BUT IT JUST DOESN'T
FEEL LIKE IT SHOULD
ITS ONLY WITH YOU BESIDE ME
THAT IT WOULD
WHEN YOU'RE GONE YOU'RE GONE
THE LIGHT THAT SHONE IS DARK
I LOOKED EVERYWHERE
AND ITS JUST NOT HERE
FEELS LIKE SUMMER TIME
LET YOU SLIP AWAY
I KNEW YOU HAD TO GO
I KNEW YOU'D BE BACK
I CAN'T ESCAPE THE VOID
THERE'S JUST TOO MUCH ROOM
WHEN YOU GO AWAY
I DON'T FEEL SO SURROUNDED
BY YOUR LOVE
THE EMOTIONS THAT
WASH OVER ME
WHEN YOU'RE NEAR
RUN ON HIGH
DON'T MIND ME
I'M JUST LONELY
FOR YOUR COMPANY
IF YOU HEAR YOUR NAME
WHISPERED ON THE BREEZE
THAT'S JUST ME
FEEL MY LOVE
CAPTURE MY DESIRES
MY IMAGINATION
WAKE UP BESIDE ME
TO THE SUN
A JULY MORNING
SHINING LIKE A JEWEL
