In Soft Light

IN SOFT LIGHT

WRITTEN BY J.R HILTON

2018

IN A DAYDREAM
FLOATING OUT TO MEET THE MORNING SUN
GENTLE WAVES FALL ON SUMMER SHORES
THE EASE OF DAY SETS THE PACE
LIFTS ME UP TO BE
JUST WHAT I NEED

COMING ON LIKE THE DAY
SHE'LL BE MINE ANYTIME SOON
WHEN THE SUN GOES DOWN
BENEATH THE MOON

I TOOK MY TIME
POURED SOME WINE
SAT THERE IN THE SHADE
JUST FLOATING OUT TO MEET THE SUN
ON CRYSTAL WATERS
FREE AS THE SUMMER SKY
FEELING LIGHT I'M NOT SURE WHY
MAYBE ITS A LOT OF THINGS
ONE FOR SURE IS YOU

YOU CAN CHANGE THE DAY
MAKE IT GO YOUR WAY
LET ME TASTE TONIGHT BY YOUR GRACE
I MISS THAT LOOK IN YOUR EYES
YOU MAKE IT ALL SEEM RIGHT
NOTHINGS CHANGED, I STILL DREAM OF YOU
YOU SAY TO ME I'M ALL YOURS
HOLD YOU IN THE SOFT LIGHT
THE PETALS ON THE FLOOR
IN THE MOONLIGHT
IN THE SILENCE OF THE MOMENT
LOVE WASHES OVER LIKE A GENTLE WAVE
HOLDS ME TO A PROMISE THAT I MADE
