COMPASS
WRITTEN BY: J.R HILTON
2017
I WONDERED SO MANY TIMES
WHY I DID THE THINGS I'VE DONE
THEN I MOVED ON
LEFT ALL THAT BEHIND ME
TRADED IT FOR THE THINGS I DID NEXT
NOTHING SPECIAL, MUCH THE SAME
JUST ANOTHER TEN YEARS, IN THE GAME
BLINDED BY DESIRE, FEEDING THE FIRE
UNTIL IT'S OUT OF CONTROL
PUT IT OUT THEN IT'S TIME TO GO
COMPASS COMPASS POINT THE WAY
WHICH DIRECTION, IS IT GONNA BE TODAY
I HOPE IT'S LOVELY ON THE WAY
ONE BAD DECISION LEADS TO MORE
WHY NOT MAKE IT THREE OR FOUR
WHILE I'M STILL BULLETPROOF
YOU MOVE ON WITH YOUR LIFE
YOU TRY TO PUT ALL THAT HURT
IN THE PAST
BUT IT ALL TAKES TIME
TO CROSS THE DIVIDING LINE
WHAT KIND OF NEW BEGINNING IS THIS AT THE END
IF I HAS A CRYSTAL BALL, I'D BE SUCH A KNOW IT ALL
COMPASS COMPASS, POINT ME IN THE DIRECTION
OF THE SUN
TO PEACEFUL DAYS
FILLED WITH LOVE AND UNDERSTANDING
THAT FEEDS MY DREAMS
TOUCHES MY DESIRES
LORD KNOWS I'VE HAD ENOUGH, SADNESS AND TEARS
REGRETFUL DECISIONS THAT BROUGHT ME TO MY KNEES
THANKS TO THE GRACES THAT SET ME FREE
LEAVE ME IN WONDER
WALLOW IN SPLENDOR
WASH OVER ME, THE TIDES OF FORTUNE
KEEP THE WAY CLEAR
GET RID OF THE DISTORTION
SUNDOWNS, THAT MELT IN THE SKY
REVEALING ENDLESS STARS, TO MY EYES
NEVER LOSE SIGHT OF THE PRIZE
TAKEN FOR GRANTED, FOR WAY TOO LONG
FLIGHTS OF FANCY OVER NOW
I'M STANDING STRONG
COMPASS COMPASS, POINT THE WAY
AVOID THE PERILS AND THE PITFALLS
EACH BRIDGE I CROSS BRINGS ME CLOSER
TO THE OTHER SIDE, FROM THE SIDE I'M ON
WHICH DIRECTION, I'M ALREADY GONE
LAST NIGHT I HAD A DREAM
IT WAS ONE I'D NEVER SEEN
LOVELY FRAMED IN BLUE AND GREEN
