YOU DON'T KNOW THE END
WRITTEN BY: J.R HILTON
2016
IN THE BEGINNING YOU DON'T KNOW THE END
AND RIGHT IN BETWEEN THERE
THE MIXED MESSAGES THEY SEND
HOW COULD WE EVER LET IT COME TO THIS
LEVELS OF CONTROL THAT SHOULDN'T EXIST
ONE AND ONE IS TWO
UNLESS THEY TELL YOU THE ANSWER IS BLUE
TAKE EVERY CHANCE YOU GET
TO SAVOR THE TASTE
TAKE ALL YOU CAN TAKE
THE FREEDOMS THAT YOU MAKE
MOVING THROUGH LIFE YOU TRIP AND FALL
YOU DUST YOURSELF OFF AND START AGAIN
BECAUSE FREEDOMS STILL THERE
JUST OUT OF REACH
FROM CONCRETE JUNGLES
TO A SANDY BEACH
ALL THESE DAYS PASS YOU BY SO QUICKLY
IT LEAVES YOU DAZED
THE HOURS YOU WASTED YOU WILL TRY TO GET BACK
BUT DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME THERE
KEEP MOVING FORWARD
AFTER YOU LOCK THAT DOOR
NOTHING CHANCED, NOTHING GAINED
YOU WON'T WIN EVERY TIME, BUT IT'S BETTER
THAN MORE OF THE SAME
SOME WILL MAKE IT, SOME NEVER WILL
TOO MUCH TIME TO KILL
MATTERS NOT YOUR GOD IN THE END
THE GODS WERE ALL AROUND YOUR EARTHLY BONDS
EVERY STAR, EVERY OCEAN, EVERY TREE
AND THE FRAGILE EARTH BENEATH YOUR FEET
FROM RAGING RIVERS, TO LITTLE STREAMS
THE SUN, THE MOON AND EVERYTHING BETWEEN
A PART OF EVERYTHING
IN THE BEGINNING YOU DON'T KNOW THE END
AND RIGHT IN BETWEEN THERE
A SHORTCUT THROUGH TIME
A WINDOW FOR YOU TO FIND
AND IF YOU MISS IT DON'T WORRY AT ALL
YOU'LL TAKE THE SCENIC ROUTE
WHEN YOU HEAR THE CALL
