FALL EXHALED IT'S COOL BREATH
SUMMER IS STEPPING AWAY FROM THE SUN
ONCE AGAIN IT'S ALMOST GONE
ONCE AGAIN IT'S ALMOST DONE
SQUEEZING SUMMER TO THE LAST DROP
UNTIL WINTER MAKES ME STOP
I'D KEEP IT GOING IF I KNEW A WAY
WITH TWO SUNS MAYBE IT COULD STAY
INSTEAD I BRACE FOR WINTERS BLOW
MINUS THIRTY AND LOTS OF SNOW
SUMMERS CHILD WILL HAVE TO WAIT AGAIN
UNTIL THE SPRING BRINGS PROMISES OF SUMMER
LONG COLD DAYS, LOW LIGHT OF WINTER
I NEVER, NEVER EMBRACED
WE'RE HAPPILY REPLACED
BY THE BRILLIANCE OF SUMMER LIGHT
IT ALWAYS FEELS GOOD, IT ALWAYS FEELS SO RIGHT
LOVE GROWS IN THE SUN
AND UNDER THE MOONLIGHT
ON A WARM SUMMER NIGHT
I'LL TRY NOT TO SHIVER
AS WINTER DELIVERS HIS BEST
I'LL THINK OF SOMEWHERE WARM, LIKE CALIFORNIA
AS I PUT ANOTHER LOG IN THE FIRE
THROUGH THE SMOKY HAZE I SIT DREAMING
OF WARM SUMMER DAYS
WALKING IN THE WOODS WITH YOU
LISTENING TO SONGBIRDS, SINGING IN THE TREES
FILL ME UP UNTIL I'M IMMERSED
STEEPED IN SUMMER, GOLDEN BROWN
OH BACK TO THE SUMMER SEA
IT'S ALL IN ME
SAND BETWEEN OUR TOES, ON A SUNKIST BEACH
FOR SUMMER I WILL ALWAYS WAIT, ALWAYS REACH
LEAVES CHANGING COLORS
ORANGE RED TO BROWN
ARE PRETTY BUT THEY MAKE ME SAD
BECAUSE SOON SNOW WILL BE FALLING DOWN
WITH NO TRACE OF SUMMER AROUND
IT'S ALREADY TOO FARAWAY
WHEN THE COLD WINDS START BLOWING
SUMMERS CHILD'S ALREADY WAITING FOR THE SUMMER SUN
HIDING AWAY, FROM THE SNOW AND THE COLD
DREAMING OF SUMMER DAYS
WAITING FOR THE SPRING TO SHOW THE WAY
DELIVER ME FROM WINTERS ICY GRIP
SO I CAN FEEL THE WARM SAND BENEATH MY FEET
