WORLD OF WHITE
WRITTEN BY J.R HILTON
2018
TWILIGHT TURNS TO BLACK
SKIES FADE AWAY
WAITING FOR THE MOON
FIGHTING OFF A QUICK RAIN
CAST OFF WINTERS DREARY GLOOM
DARK SHADOWS IN MY ROOM
HAVE TO GO
BEFORE YOU KNOW IT
ICE WILL MELT, WATER FLOW
ON WINTERS BROKEN BACK
APRILS HERE AND WE'RE ALL
WAITING FOR THE MAY QUEEN
TO COME SHINING WITH THE SUN
THE NOURISHING RAINS OF SPRING
THE SWEET SCENT OF FLOWERS AWAKENING
IN THIS DARK LIGHT
THE SPRING WON'T HEAL
LAST NIGHT I THOUGHT IT WAS LOST
THE SNOW STARTED FALLING
AND IT WOULDN'T STOP
UNTIL THE MORNING LIGHT
THE SUN LAID CLAIM TO A WORLD OF WHITE
NOW WE'RE ALL WAITING
KIND OF SUFFOCATING
ON ALL OF THIS SNOW
KIND OF GIVING UP ON
EVER SEEING SUMMER
HOLDING ONTO HOPES AND DREAMS
PICTURING A DIFFERENT SCENE THAN THIS
HEAT OF SUMMER, GREEN TREES AND HILLS
SUMMER MOON PLEASE COME SOON
LIFT US FROM THE DEPTHS OF DESPAIR
YA YOU'LL FIND US THERE
I CAN'T SLEEP CAN THIS BE REAL
NOW YOU KNOW THE WAY WE FEEL
AS SPRING LIES BROKEN IN A FROZEN FIELD
